An App to Help Solve My Email Problem

I wrote a review of Triage for iPhone for The Industry:

The Email Problem

”I receive way too many emails every single day. I can’t even read a few of them because I feel bad ignoring the others. I wish there was a way to quickly trash the crap and get to the good bits I really want to deal with.”

Sound familiar? Perhaps Triage is the first-aid you need.

Microsoft’s Mobile Comeback Isn’t Happening

Great piece by Dan Frommer:

comScore’s numbers continue to show very little U.S. interest in Windows Phone. It hasn’t tanked as bad as BlackBerry, but Windows Phone subscribers are barely growing. (At least they’re not still shrinking at the moment.)

Still, the momentum Microsoft needs isn’t here. And it doesn’t look like the Surface tablet is helping, either.

Reddit Might Need a Designer

The left part of this image is how reddit looks today. The right side is how reddit should look today — a couple of CSS tweaks have been made to improve readability.

If anyone at reddit is listening, I’m available for hire.

As a reddit user, all the information you need to fix reddit can be found here.

Antichamber for PC Might be My Next Portal

I started playing Antichamber last night with a friend. It’s quite possibly the most mind-expanding experience I’ve had since I played Portal for the first time.

Whilst infuriating and difficult at times, the game itself isn’t the challenge presented. The mind of the player is the challenge; your brain must be wired a certain way in order to complete the game.

Absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to finish it.

From its Steam Store page:

Antichamber is a mind-bending psychological exploration game where nothing can be taken for granted. Discover an Escher-like world where hallways wrap around upon each other, spaces reconfigure themselves, and accomplishing the impossible may just be the only way forward.

Several years in the making, Antichamber received over 25 awards and honors throughout its development, in major competitions including the Independent Games Festival, the PAX10, IndieCade and Make Something Unreal.

This quote from Rock, Paper, Shotgun nails it:

“Even as the developer told me what the game was doing to mess with my brain while I was playing it, it still succeeded in messing with my brain.”
